OBX

Well, this blog post is only about two months overdue.  I guess that's what happens to photographer's families during fall.  Your own family falls way, WAY, behind.  So, enjoy some photos from our week at the beach in September.  You know, the week that it rained 6 of the 7 days were were there.  We spent a lot of time just hanging out together inside.  It was nice.  :-)
This is when Matt became slightly obsessed with Grandpa's iPad...

Makeshift baby gate at the bottom of the stairs.

Since outside was pretty much off limits, we took the opportunity to go to one of the NC Aquariums, this one in Manteo.  It was awesome!  We'll definitely go back as the boys get older.  First up, look how small we are compared to that shark!
Matt loved the otters as much as I do!  ;-)
 Turtles.
 Ummm......  daddy??
This was the shark tank.  It's huge.  They were doing a demonstration and talking to divers who were inside the tank - the (older) kids loved it!
Finally, the morning we left it was absolutely glorious. Took the dogs out for what we thought/think will be Max's last time on the beach (he's still doing great on the 'roids, btw).

And of course, I'd planned to take the boys' 16 month pictures while we were there.  But the weather made it almost not happen.  I did manage to spend a few minutes before we loaded 'em up to come home, snapping pics on the front porch.  Here's my favorite.
